The worst day of her life

Adyson has been on an emotional RoLLaR CoaSTeR lately. About 2 weeks ago she was fevered for about 4 days in a row. She said nothing was bothering her, so we just chilled out at home, and eventually the fever broke. But after that for about 4 more days she was testing me and pushing every button I have. She was snotty, sassy, and just not her sweet self. She literally had me in tears quite a few times. I really think she must have felt like crap...but still....

I am quite happy to say that she is not back to her normal self. She is fun and good and actually listens once more. So we have talked a few times about how we treat mommy.

Which brings me to today. We went to Kohls today for a little spring shopping. She decided that she wanted a toy, and I told her very kindly "not today." The sassyness took over and she threw a tantrum right there in the middle of the store. Now I get that she is a four year old, and they do this sometimes, but I was getting use to my good kid again and wasn't in the mood to deal with the "brat" again. :)

After about 1 minute I looked at her and she just asked for a hug. So I hugged her and said "remember how you should act, and how to treat mom?" To which she replied, "Yes, and I'm just so mad at myself for being bad."

My heart softened a bit at that, but I was still a little annoyed at the in-store tantrum. Till she said this in her most dramatic tone of course,

"I think this is the worst day of my life."

What a kid. I'm glad that this is the worst day in my almost 4 year olds life. I must be an awesome mom. And could she be any more dramatic, really?

Adyson, I'm glad you are back to 99% normal. I missed your happy face!

She really is about the cutest thing ever! Ady may throw tantrums like any other 4 year old, but she's the only one that would respond that way! She had me cracking up this morning!

That's pretty cute!! We've had a few tantrums, but I'm worried about how to handle them out in the stores.

Oh, that is so cute! When you find a cure completely for the in store tantrums, please let me know!

Little Girls...I love it! She's way ahead of the rest of the 4 year olds if she was feeling remorseful for her in store tantrum. You're an AwEsOmE mom.

How funny! Yes, the tantrums can be embarrassing but how can you be mad when she says that. It cracked me up just thinking about it.

I am dreading the tantrum's. Isa's not too bad right now, but I can tell with her spunky personality that we will definately have the tantrums in the store (hopefully they are a couple years down the road), I am like you, I would break down in tears after so much. But, you're a good mom and she'll get through this stage :O)

The drama kills me! This is why I'm a little nervous to do the girl thing... but, I'm sure we'll survive. She's just so darling you couldn't stay mad for too long. Isn't it horrible when they aren't themselves? Day after day you just wonder if they will ever be back... glad she is. Hope you guys get no more sick!

What a sweetheart! I'm glad that Peyton is not the only one that goes through those stages. This week, he hasn't listened once I swear! But then they suprise you! How did the vinyl work out?

She is so dang cute! I love how she stated it was the worst day of her life! My 4 year old is sassy lately too. I heard him in the hall say to Bry "go tell mom you don't like her" I about cried!

She really is such a sweet girl....with an attitude! I love her so much! I can just picture her saying that! Me and Cody just laugh at what she might be like as a teenager!

I hope Ady is feeling better. If you need a break give me a call. I can either take the girls off your hands or we could go out.

I wish that Dax would ask for a hug after his tantrums! Its not that easy for me, he sometimes just wont give up and we have to do a time out in the car. I hate those days!! SHe sounds like a sweetheart! Love that story!
