A Really Good Week!

This week really has been a great week. First off, Heather finally had her baby. Sweet Brielle Austen Wolfley was born on Tuesday and she is a looker! She weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. (actually big for Heathers kids) and is 19 inches long. She has a ton of black hair! Seriously, she puts Sienna to shame with all that hair. We haven't been able to meet her yet, but our plan is to spend the weekend in Mt. Home! I am so excited to hold her-and I honestly just can't wait to see them all.
My mom and Heather say that so far she is a dream baby and Heather and Jody couldn't be happier. I am just happy that things went so well and she made it here safely.
The last couple of months have been a little bit hard with Adyson. She is always playing with her friends at our house and she has a great time with them, but whenever they ask her to come play at their house she gets too scared. She will not leave home without me. It is hard because all the other kids in the neighborhood run around and play together and I feel like she is missing out on so much. Last month I took her to her best friends birthday party and she wouldn't stay and just started crying-so I came home crying-and worried about Adyson. I want her to show others her social, silly side.
Well today our neighbor and Ady's great friend Nicole had a birthday party. I walked her over there and she sat down and started playing. Sienna started to get tired so I told Ady I had to go and was just waiting for the tears, but they didn't come. She just let me leave! This is HUGE!! She stayed at the party for 2 hours and had a great time. Nicoles mom said that she was fine and had a blast playing all the games. I don't think I have ever been prouder as a mom. It was amazing to watch my little girl conquer a fear of hers.
This little conquest has made me thankful for my calling as a mother. It may seem silly that something as small as a birthday party has made me so proud and so thankful for my kids, but hey-thats just the way it works! I look forward to the many obstacels that we can overcome together. CHEESY-but its just how I feel today!

Other than that things here are going just fine. We have had a great week spending time together and enjoying life. It was one of those weeks where the days just fly by and everyone is in a good mood. Sienna has finally decided she likes walking more than crawling, and she just walks everywhere, with a serious look of pride on her face. I will post some more pictures of Brielle when we get back from our trip.
Here is a cute pic of the girls snuggling! They really do love eachother so much!

Here are a few pics of our Bathing Beauties. The first time we have been able to run through the sprinklers this year. Adyson loved it, Sienna could have done without-but isn't she cute in her suit?

It Begins Already!

Our neighborhood is perfect for our little girls. There are about 4 little girls within a year or two of Adyson and the same goes for Sienna. They have a lot of little friends and Adyson constantly is playing with 2 of them. They usually get along great and giggle and laugh constantly. Well the other night Travis was tucking Ady into bed and she just started sobbing. When she finally calmed down enough to tell us what was wrong she said- "I heard Lexi's mommy say that Nicole doesn't like me anymore." Lexi's cute mom Hanna-had said something about the girls to me when she picked Lexi up the other day, but it wasn't about Nicole not liking her, it was just a misunderstanding. But I have to say-it has begun! It brought me back to highschool and the dumb fights and misunderstandings, and just how mean girls can be. I have 2 of these girls to live through!! So pray for the Kidman girls and their mommy because I am terrified!

Other than the 3 year old cat fight, things here are going great. With the basement at a standstill for a few minutes-We have been able to catch up on the yard work. Oh and by we I mean Travis. We have been planting flowers and this weekend we plan on getting the garden planted. I am looking forward to fresh peas and corn! The weather has been lovely and we have been out every night taking advantage.

Mothers day was a little different this year. Usually we go see my Grandma, mom and Trav's mom as well, but our kids were sick and we visited the Instacare instead. Adyson had been 103 fevered for about 3 days and the Doctor wanted us to take her. Turned out she just had the flu, but she feels fine now. Trav and the girls gave me what I was hoping for, some beautiful baskets to hang from the porch full of red geraniums and my mom gave me a beautiful piece for my home. It's weird that for mothers day I get presents from my mom. I cannot believe I have two kids and get to celebrate that holiday. I think it will always be wierd for me! I hope you all had a great mothers day as well-and if you think about it send some wishes Heathers way. We need that sweet baby girl to come soon!
Here are some cute pics of the girls. Doesn't Ady look so grown up? And Sienna is getting so big!
My mothers day gifts!

More Birthdays, Drywall, and Rambling (as usual)

For the last couple of weeks Travis and the men in the family have come home from their real jobs, just to head down to the basement to hang drywall. It has been pretty tiring for them and a lot of tedious work. And I'll be honest, I was starting to feel like a single mom. By the end of this week I was starting to lose my cool with my kids and I'm positive they were sick of me. (can you blame them?) But I'm not complaining because I cannot tell you how excited we are that all the drywall is hung! It looks great down there and the end is sort of in sight!
Hopefully here soon the mud and tape will get done and then it will be time to pick a paint color. We ordered built-ins to go next to the fireplace this week and they will be done in about a month, and hopefully by then it will just be finish work time.
I am so grateful to Travis, Larry, Cody, and my Dad. They were so much help and all I had to do was feed them dinner every night.

On Wednesday Travis celebrated his 32nd birthday. Normally we celebrate at night but this year they were one day away from finishing the basement and all he wanted to do was get it done-so me and the girls took him some treats to work and ate lunch at El Sol-Travs favorite restaraunt. We got him a really nice framed picture of a hole at Pebble Beach for his new office. The girls were excited to visit with him and Adyson colored him a lovely card-but that was the most partying we did!

My moms birthday was on Saturday too, so pretty much over the last 3 months all we have done is celebrate birthday after birthday! Heather should be adding to that fairly soon with a new baby girl due within the next 3 weeks. I can't express how excited I am to have another little snuggly baby in the family-and one that I don't have to wake up with in the middle of the night.

Things here are going just fine though-my kids are healthy and happy and we are just enjoying springtime and our families. Sienna just gets cuter and cuter, and she just learns so much everyday. She is starting to love to snuggle and give kisses-(I'm not complaining) and she has a smile that just melts my heart. Not much new with Adyson. She is just a little princess and still wierdly obsessed with Prince Charming. Every morning when we go to do her hair she will tell me what princess she wants to look like, and I have to do her hair accordingly. What a goof right? Anyways-thats all for the Kidman clan for now.
