Productive

That is how I would describe our weekend. Productive.

Since we have moved in we have really been wanting to change some of the paint colors in the house, but found excuse after excuse not to. This weekend I finally cracked the whip :) and we got started. I am quite pleased with how these rooms turned out and can't wait to get the rest of them done. Our house feels really clean, and I have to think that getting all that dust out of the rooms and sprucing it up a bit will help Trav's immune system even more. And if your wondering, he is still doing pretty good. I am amazed at how much that week off helped. He has cankers now and then, and still feels tired, but his throat hasn't hurt much, and he is more himself. And that makes me more myself, and the kids more themselves...and we are all happy! Enjoy pics of our room, the master bath, and the kids bath.
Before: The bedroom was a really bright avacado green, and the paint job was terrible! We actually picked that color and painted it right when we moved it, and have hated it ever since, but we are loving our new mossy color. The pictures make it look like the bedroom and the bathrooms are the same color, but really the bedroom is pretty dark, and really mossy, while the bathrooms are more of a light sage green/earthy tan color.

Before: The Master Bathroom was just plain white. It looked pretty dirty and we have wanted to change it for quite a long time. My favorite part about the change would have to be the new light fixture. The old one I called the "Hollywood Stripper" light. You know the kind with the long strip that has HUGE bulbs on it. UGLY! This one is much better. I'm digging the calm colors of this room, I just want to soak in the tub and read a book.

Before: The kids bathroom was the color of the rest of our house (which we are now changing.) It is a really light "tan", but really looks like a pale pink. It's not pretty. I think this color looks much better.

I so love all of it! Did you have the bathroom done when I came to see the bedroom? Sorry if I didn't even look...I was so focused on the bedroom! I love it so much though! I'm ready to do some painting around my house too! Maybe that's why I haven't hung any of my decorations up yet....this way I won't have to take them down to paint!
