Who wants to...

Come watch this with me? I love Patrick Swayze. I was raised on Dirty Dancing (we weren't your typical Sesame Street Family), and am just heartbroken that he passed away, and passed away from Cancer.

Do you know we hate cancer? Do you hate it too? I want to swear at it (I occasionally do), and hit it with a baseball bat.

I found this little quote from him, and love it.

"I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, not lived in the shadow of cancer but in the light."

I also like this one. (Hello, who doesn't?)

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner".

Sigh. I will miss you Patrick Swayze.

I just pulled up my computer for the day, and I saw this on MSN and my mind automatically flashed to the scene where he's hanging out in the cabin after the big performance with no shirt on.....oh, who doesn't love a little dirty dancing?? Oh wait, my husband!!

Not a Swayze fan. And DEFFINITELY NOT a cancer fan!

But I did like him in Dirty Dancing. And I LOVED the dancing in Dirty Dancing. And I LOVED the SNL skit with him and Chris Farley! If you haven't seen it, You Tube it.

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner"? I think I'm going to have to find a way to use that in everyday conversation.

Sooo not a fan of cancer. We just found out about 6 weeks ago that my MIL has stage 4 ovarian cancer. Not a fan at all . . .

We definitely hate cancer at our house too. It seems to happen to the best people.

Love Dirty Dancing! I was in a dance group in college in which I got to perform "the Lift" you know the water one. Never got to practice it in the water, but definately felt like I got to check one off my Bucket List.
P.S. Not a Cancer Fan.

I was so sad to hear that news, I remember watching him on Oprah not too long ago. He came on to fulfill the wish of one of her viewers and she totally got to dance with him it was awesome. I'm totally game to watch it with you if you haven't already. I actually just made Chris buy it on Blue Ray! Ahhhh the memories, I vividly remember watching it with my friend in her basement just before 6th grade. Just as we were getting into boys. Definitely made an impression.
