Black and White

I took this picture a few weeks ago. It was taken right before church, aren't they cute?

I had to laugh when I looked at it. Adyson in her "little black dress." (She's such a diva.) And Sienna in her sweet white spring dress. Opposites. And they are.

I assumed when we found out we were having another little girl (Sienna), that she would be like her big sis. Blond as can be, a total princess and girly in every way.

Silly me. They are pretty different kids!

Adyson is scared of everything. I mean everything. Bugs, strangers, going new places...you get the gist. It takes her a while to warm up to new situations. She always gets there, but it takes time with her. She is cautious. (maybe cautious is a better word than scared...)

Sienna on the other hand, dives right in. The other day Adyson was crying because there was a dead bug on the doorstep, (yes, she's scared of dead bugs too). Sienna ran inside, got a tissue, picked up the dead bug, and threw it in the toilet. It was hilarious! She has her shy moments, but usually is waving hello to anyone and everyone.

Adyson has the straightest hair. It is so beautiful and shiny, but jet straight.

Sienna, well you've all witnessed her amazing curls.

Adyson loves barbies and dolls, make-up and dress-ups. All things girlie.

While Sienna enjoys these things, you wouldn't be surprised to see her playing with a match box car any day of the week.

Adyson still doesn't dare go down the hill in a bike. (We are working on it.)

Sienna will hop in her little car and zoom right into the middle of the street.

You get it, they are different! I love their differences. I love Adyson's cautious motherly nature. And yes, I've complained that she's not brave enough at times, but I wouldn't change a thing about her, it's who she is-and I dig it. I love Sienna's brave heart. I love how curious she is, and trusting. And yes, I've complained that she's too brave (the grass is always greener...). I think it is so much fun to watch them grow and see who they really are!

They do have similarities too, like they are dramatic. (I wonder where they get that from...), they are silly, funny, smart, great kids!

Oh and did I mention I think they are perfect? Well, I do.

I have been a blog slacker! What cuties. How boring if god sent us all the same kind of kids!! I can't wait to see what he sends us next (and that's not an announcement), but I love seeing how different kids personalities are!!

I remember thinking the same thing about Polly. Well, it'll be about the same... Not true. We used to say Polly acts first, thinks later! The curly tops sound the same in that way. They must play soon.

As usual I love your posts-so fun to read. It's fun to learn a little bit more about them! Ellie has been such a wonderful baby, very mellow and hardly ever cries so I tell myself that I could handle 4 or 5 of these easy but then I have to remind myself that not ever child is going to have the same personality. Where they quite different from each other as babies?

I got pretty lucky. They were both VERY easy babies. Great sleepers, happy babies, but they still had different personalities.

Maybe you will get lucky and your next will be easy too.

It's funny they are so different. Allie and Dallin are totally different too. Yes I know, Dallin is a boy and Allie is a girl. :) But even still Dallin turns and runs from me in the store, church, Disneyland, everywhere! Allie still won't leave my side. It's nice I wish Dallin would stay by me!
YOur girls are both so cute in their own special ways!!!

Sometimes I have a hard time imagining the possibility of having a child different than Carson - coming from the same genes and all. This post was great and makes me excited to learn about our next one... hopefully he's easy like Carson was though.

Love the pictures! I have to say our girls are a lot alike, even with the straight hair/curly hair. Adyson & Addison and Sienna & Oakli. I love having girls. The comparisons are so fun, I love them. :)
