A happier note...

Holy Moly, I have wonderful friends. Seriously, today was filled with dinner offers, phone calls, flowers, friends stopping by to see how we are, and e-mails galore.

I feel loved. And I feel like my little Enna bug is loved. Which makes my heart feel happy and full.

Last night was seriously emotional for us. And we came home feeling heart broken, and worried. The Doctors and Nurses in the ER made it seem like diabetes was her diagnosis, and that was the only answer.

This morning we took her to her regular doctor, and they did a finger prick to check her levels after a night of fasting.

And they were completely normal.

Then this afternoon they did another finger prick to check something else. (poor kid).

And they also were completely normal.

Which has all of us completely confused. Her pediatrician was very happy with these results, but also confused with the results because they are completely opposite from the results we got at the ER. They explained that there can always be errors in the tests, and something could have been in her system to make her blood sugar skyrocket so much Sunday. (And no, she wasn't eating sugar all morning...)

He said that she definitely needs to be watched closely. She needs to have her urine tested again on Monday and we will go from there.

We are feeling so much better about things today, and much less stressed. We are still worried and antsy to figure out exactly what is going on with her. We just want to know what we are dealing with so we can make sure she is healthy.

I can't express how thankful I am for the many friends we have who have helped us out today, and who care for our kiddos so much. It's very humbling. Thank you.

I will make sure to update again on Monday when we learn a little more. I'm really praying hard this week that this is just a fluke thing, and Monday will be a great day! And I'm cursing the Doctors who had us scared to death yesterday...

I know, I know they were just doing their job, but still, they had us FREAKED out.

Thanks again friends. Hugs to all.

Oh my, I am glad things are going so much better! I can relate all too well! We still have to watch isabella for uti's and fevers to make sure she doesn't have problems with the valve leading back up to her kidney's, I swear I am checking her temperature every morning. It's so hard when doctors can't give you an exact answer and you just have to watch you little babies be tortured with tests, uggghhh my heart goes out to you because I know how painful it is...hopefully all remains well and she gets feeling better!

Hugs Hugs Hugs! How scary to have to go through all you do. You are such a strong person. I saw your husband tonight at Sunrise and was going to have a friendly exchange and remembered oh yea I only know him through Hayley's blog he has no idea who I am. I had to laugh. We actually had our little boy into the doctor for the same thing and are now off to the uroligist (spelling?) this week it was really scary when he said there is not infection, I don't think he has a tumor, and it did not appear that he has diabetes. I was scared just thinking the urine could have tested postive for these things. Bless you Hayley and I am praying for a fluke.

Hayley, I kinda know what you are going thru, my little brother was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when he was 14. It's obviously something you can deal with, but not a day goes by I don't worry about him, and he still has really scary moments. I fervently hope it's not what you are dealing with. But just know, somebody up there must know what a strong girl you are! I am praying for her!

Oh I'm so glad everything is going better! My little sister is diabetic so we've been through a little of that, I can't imagine it being my baby! I hope all goes well. We'll say a prayer for you!!

We had a scare with diabetes with my oldest, but luckily everything turned out ok, I hope it will for you too!!

If I would start blogging again, maybe I would have a clue what's going on around here! So sorry I wasn't any help to you during this scare. I will pray that it's just a fluke thing. Doctors are wrong all the time. Did I ever tell you my OB told me I had miscarried Avery because my pregnancy levels were "off", and I went in for a DNC and then they realized she was still there? Yep. So I hope they just read Sienna's results wrong or something.
