For the last little while before bed Adyson and I have been reading Charlotte's web. We read one chapter each night and tonight we finished. I had forgotten how beautiful this book is-and really enjoyed sharing it with Adyson. I wasn't sure if she would enjoy a chapter book, or if she would get bored, but she really loved it. And tonight when we read about Charlotte dying, Adyson's sweet eyes filled up with tears. (And watching this mine did too.)
Anyone have any ideas for our next book? All the books I remember loving when I was younger are still a bit to old for her. (Island of the blue dolphins, summer of the monkeys...) I need something easy and young. Help me! :)

Winn Dixie...They have had the movie out for quite some time now. It's about a little girl and her dog. You might have seen the movie. I read it to my kids and they loved it.
You are such a good mommy. Reading a chapter each night! You must have great animation in your voice. Good Job!
Oh that is too cute! They are a bit long but they are quick reading-"Little House on the Prairie". I think Macy likes that it is about 2 sisters growing up, out in the woods and doing such fun things. And really...who doesn't love little house?!
I have some books I would lend you that I bought to read with Lexi. They are definetly for little girls. All about princesses who learn life lessons. I can bring them by if you would like to look at them. I have, Ella Enchanted, Princess Academy (both Newberry Honor books), Fairest, and Ever.
I remember reading Stuart Little aboyt the same time as Charolettes Webb. It's a cute one too. You'resuch a good mom ;)
Trumpet of the Swan is a wonderful book by E.B. White.
Your such a good mommy! I love how she soaked it up! I have to say your girls are pretty good at shaking it, thanks for the laugh!
Boxcar Children was one of my favorite series...although I think I was in 2 or 3rd grade when I read them...but who are we kidding, Ady is soooo there! I also really liked all the Hank the Cowdog books, but they might be older too...hmmm. Anyway, you really are such a great mom! I'm not sure I'd have the patience to read to Simon every night, but you have inspired me to do so when he's ready!
I love reading Ramona the Pest with my kids (maybe because it was my fav growing up) Ady could relate to Ramona going to school for the first time like a big girl.
That is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard. It really is a beautiful little story. How fun that you could share that together.
Kennedy and I are loving the Ramona books, too, there are a lot of fun ones by Beverly Cleary. I don't know about you, but I LOVE reading the chapter books with them, it's so much more interesting!
What a sweet mom you are, I wonder if Dax would like to read a chapter book. I think I am going to try it out. He still loves the pic. so I will have to see.
p.s. I LOVE the booty shakin!
Yes- Ramona! I was obsessed. Ady is so sweet- you are lucky to have such a tender heart around. And I just want to lick Sienna up and squeeze her! They are so cute. I am so in need of that haircut. I have turned into a frumpy old mom! Please help me!
I'm agreeing with most of the posts! I first I couldn't think of any and they all refreshed my memories. I was also meaning to ask you...so did my dad "set up" a hair appointment for my sister. Obviously through your mom...but he just told me I needed to call you to set up a time. (I don't have your number...I guess there is the good ole phone book) but anyways...I'm thinking like 2 or 3 ish? Would that even work for you? Were you even aware of this?? :)
Hey Hayley
I know you left me a message on my blog awhile back and I kept forgetting to respond. I finally found your blog and thought I would leave a quick note. Your girls are adorable and so sweet and fun looking. What a joy to have such sweet girls in your life. I also love the way you write different things on your pictures. How in the world do you do that?
Macy and I are reading Pipi Longstocking. It's pretty funny.
The next ones we're going to do are Little House on the Prarie. My sister said both her girls loved it at their age. There is a series of 6 books or something.
Sorry no book ideas, but how cute to read a chapter out of a cute book a night!! Your such a great mom!!
I could lend you Anne of Green Gables. She might like that book. Especially because Anne is so much like Ady when she was little! Breje
