Yes, it's true. When I started blogging I spent a good amount of my nights
patrolling the blog world, I only knew a few other
bloggers, so it I had time to waste. (pathetic?)
Then I found more friends, and the stalking lessened, and almost stopped altogether.
Then Blogger came out with the sidebar that tells you when someone last posted. And I find myself with free time to surf the web. (yes, I still say that.)
I'm a bit of a night owl, only intensified by worry (yes, I'm using the cancer excuse again. Because I can). So on sleepless nights, I stalk now and again.
The other day I linked from my friend Amanda to
Cjanerun.com. She is a
Mormon mother to a newborn baby, and an incredible writer. Her posts will make you laugh and cry all at the same time. I'm sure in the past I have read her blog before, but was amazed by what I read there. Her sister, who is also a blogger, was in a private plane crash. She, her husband, and their flight
instructor were the only ones in the plane. The flight
instructor passed away and she and her husband are both in the hospital with very severe burns.
Her's covering most of her body. They have a very young family and a very scary and very long recovery ahead of them.
Cjane has taken her children from Arizona where they live, to Utah where she lives, to take care of them while Stephenie and Christian recover.
Anyways, I wanted to post the link to her blog so you can read about all of this from her very much more
eloquent prospective. This story makes me thankful for families with huge hearts, being able to be with my kids, and have my normal-boring-everyday life. How easily we take that for granted! I browsed through Stephanie's blog today for a bit and thought of what an amazing gift that is to her children. When they miss her, and they must miss her, they have a beautiful representation of who she is through her blog.
